The Children of Yesterday

The children of today
Are the children of yesterday,
And the children of yesterday
Will become the children of today.

What will we have to look forward to?
A cycle of duplication, a voice of
Emancipation, or will the cycle
Lead us back to yesterday and
One would ask, where have we been.

Brigitte Merki Collection

Brigitte Merki is a designer label that was founded in 2010 by Brigitte Merki-Ibrahim. Her dresses are glamorous, elegant, stunning and beautiful and that should be transferred to the wearer! Her designs are more likely to rank in evening wear and bridal wear, she describes her Dresses as timeless. The Designer is inspired by the 1920's and old Hollywood style. Her muses are Katherine Hepburn, Queen Rania of Jordan and Elizabeth Taylor. Merki-Ibrahim, a mother of three children, comes from a Ghanaian-Swiss family. She makes the two cultures flow into her collections! In the current collection, which she presented at this years AFWL, is very pure and very lightly. She uses light blue, yellow and pink colors.
A gorgeous collection!

Beauty of the Day+Poem

Beauty

It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
We can all see outer beauty in someone, younger or older.

All we need is our eyes.

It is said that love is blind, but it opens our eyes to see the inner beauty,
that comes to mind, it just takes a little time.
Inner beauty is harder to see, it needs more than just the eyes to view.
It requires caring, understanding and compassion, just to name a few.

All that is required is your heart.

We can all see and enjoy outer beauty, here and there, throughout our lives.
And most of us, if we try, can see the inner beauty in people, as time goes by.

Far and few between are those, that have both radiant outer beauty, and warm glowing inner beauty.
Lucky are we, that are fortunate enough to even cross their path, along life's long journey.

If seeing and feeling both with someone is always so easy to comprehend,
We are truly blessed when they turn out to be such a good friend.

My eyes saw your outer beauty when I met you.
My heart saw your inner beauty when I knew you.

Very lucky I have been, truly blessed I will always be.

A lesson to learn: Appreciative what you possess

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
"Oh, yeah" said the son.
"So what did you learn from the trip?" aked the father.
The son answered:" I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
With this the boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, " Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are."
Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don't have. What is one person's worthless object is another's prize possession. It is all based on one's perspective. Makes you wonder what would happen if we all give thanks for all the bounty we have, instead of worrying about wanting more. Take joy in all you have, especially your friends.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are engaged!!!

Hello dear ones,
U.S. actress Jennifer Aniston (43) is engaged. "Justin Theroux had a wonderful birthday and was given an incredible gift when his girlfriend Jennifer Aniston has accepted his marriage proposal," the spokesman of Theroux confirmed it on Sunday. A wedding date has not been mentioned.

Aniston and Theroux (41) are a couple for over a year. For the screenwriter and actor, it would be the first marriage, Aniston was five years married to Brad Pitt - the two were divorced in 2005. Pitt proposed in April by the hand of actress Angelina Jolie. The much-speculated wedding of Jolie and Pitt last weekend, has proven to be false.

I'm so happy for Aniston, I wish the two lovebirds all the best for their upcoming marriage!
