Yaya Toure crowned African player of the year 2012

Yaya Touré has been named the 2012 African Player of the Year for a second time. Touré beat his countryman and former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba into second place with former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song third.
Touré was crowned at an awards gala in Ghana's capital, Accra, after being voted for by head coaches or technical directors of countries affiliated to the Confederation of African Football on the 20th December 2012.
